Mondo Music, in collaboration with Nishino’s company CHIMNEY TOWN, is proud to present the first-ever vinyl release of the POUPELLE OF CHIMNEY TOWN Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.

Featuring music by Yuta Bandoh, Youki Kojima, and writer Akihiro Nishino, the soundtrack is pressed on 2x 180-gram color vinyl.

In its short life, Akihiro Nishino’s beloved picture book POUPELLE OF CHIMNEY TOWN has been transformed into a musical, kabuki, ballet and, of course, the remarkable motion picture brought to life by director Yusuke Hirota (VFX for SHIN GODZILLA, MIND GAME and more).

POUPELLE OF CHIMNEY TOWN is the story of young Lubicchi living among the thick smoke from the chimneys of his isolated town, yearning to see the “stars” — to know the truth — his father always told him about. One Halloween night he meets Poupelle, a man made of garbage, and together they look to the sky as their adventure begins.

Produced at Tokyo's famed STUDIO4ºC, the film features spectacular animation and splendid musical contributions by Yuta Bandoh, Youki Kojima and Nishino himself. Our double LP features all your favorite music from the film, including “HALLOWEEN PARTY (Poupelle Version)” by HYDE and the ending theme “POUPELLE OF CHIMNEY TOWN.” It also includes the great Korean and Arabic versions of “POUPELLE OF CHIMNEY TOWN” (currently the only place to hear them outside of the localized adaptations onscreen), as well as a version sung by Nishino and his comedy partner and dear friend Yuta Kajiwara too!
