To celebrate Taeko Onuki's 50th anniversary since her debut, the album "Peter and Friends," is set to be released on July 9. This album captures the concert "Peter and Friends," which was specially planned around Taeko Onuki's electronic-sound works from the 1980s to 1990s, represented by albums like “Peter Rabbit to Watashi” and “CARNAVAL.”

Concerts featuring an electronic style—something only attempted a handful of times in the '80s—had long been eagerly awaited by fans, but due to the difficulty of reproducing them to Onuki’s standards, they had not been performed until now.

In this concert, sounds extracted from the original multitrack tapes and faithfully programmed elements were synchronized to authentically recreate songs that had not been performed live for decades.

"Peter and Friends,” held from 2023, became a landmark event, selling out all shows in both Tokyo and Osaka.

This album is a long-awaited recording of the concert held at EX Theater Roppongi in Tokyo on July 9, 2024.
