- 7" on Random Colored Vinyl
- One-of-a kind release for any record collector who also loves video games, game music, or the wild west early era of the internet
- Includes bonus isolated âstemsâ of the original tracks
DESCRIPTION
This is the âZeldaâ song, erroneously credited over the decades to SOAD. It was originally the final track off the 1997 release entitled âThe Rabbit Jointâ, which featured Joe Pleiman on voice, production & instruments and Jesse Spence on drums (he also sings the falsetto on âZeldaâ). It was originally recorded on a œ inch Otari 8-track machine in the 11th floor of Tisch School of the Arts in the film schoolâs recording studio.
Included as a bonus on this 45 are isolated âstemsâ of the original tracks. Import these and make your own awesome remixes, then please share them with us at [email protected].
Side B features âBye Bye Balloonâ, a demo recorded by the Rabbit Joint fellas sometime in the year 2000. It's a tune about Mario Kartâs âBattle Modeâ on the Nintendo 64, which is STILL the best-ever version of Mario Kart.
This is a one-of-a kind release for any record collector who also loves video games, game music, or the wild west early era of the internet. âZeldaâ, often credited to acts like System of a Down, Mr. Bungle and Weird Al Yankovic, but actually performed by The Rabbit Joint, has been swapped by fans for over 25 years, dating back to the days of Napster and Limewire. Itâs impossible to know how many iPods this song was once on or how many millions (or billions?) of times it's been swapped and downloaded. This is NOT music from the game, but an original work created as an homage to the original game and its iconic music.
What truly makes this release special is that it contains not just the original song, but also the original stems broken into individual stems of the 8-track multi-track, hard-panned Left/Right to give fans the opportunity to import and remix the elements. There is also an âempty orchestraâ (karaoke/instrumental) version of the song. Side B also contains a vintage demo by The Rabbit Joint entitled âBye, Bye Balloonâ, an homage to Mario Kart 64âs Battle Mode.
Comes on randomly colored vinyl, unique vinyl.
