Yoshiko Sai, one of Japan’s most iconic singers of the 1970s, is set to have her entire catalog reissued on limited-edition colored vinyl! Following the sold-out 2021 reissues of her classic albums, this highly anticipated collection is finally coming to life in response to overwhelming demand.

A deeply jazz-influenced album backed by the Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio, this work showcases a surreal and dynamic world—as if Sai had found an escape from her inner spiritual realm into the outside world. After releasing this 1978 album, she declared, "I can no longer write songs that satisfy me," and embarked on a journey around the world. The album’s lyrics evoke a deep purple hue—now brought to life in this reissue.
